
Brown Valley Elementary School proudly honors Heather Dombrowski as its Classified Employee of the Year.
Heather Dombrowski, known to the students as “Mrs. D,” is a fantastic paraprofessional at Browns Valley Elementary.
She works daily with our Resource Specialists to support student’s needs, and she does so with such unassuming joy and enthusiasm that she has earned this recognition.
Heather is kind, empathetic, and patient. She is passionate about working with students in small groups to provide the specialized support they need to succeed. She has been at Browns Valley for five years, working in this capacity and providing patience and understanding when students have significant frustrations and strong personalities.
She is always positive and helpful, develops a rapport with the students and sets clear academic and behavioral expectations for them. She is exceptional when implementing grade-level curriculum and providing modifications to the curriculum as needed, teaching students to use appropriate tools to improve their skills, and supporting students to stay on track to meet their individualized goals.
She collaborates well with her teachers, often sharing ideas on modifications, implementation supports, and activities the students may enjoy.
She has made Browns Valley Elementary a better place for students and staff and is the clear choice for its Classified Employee of the Year.
