Browns Valley Elementary School proudly recognizes Angela Finnegan as our 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Angela Finnegan is an educator dedicated to the personal growth of her students. She encourages them to practice responsibility in their academic work and personal life using a growth mindset.
Working endlessly to find ways to better her craft of educating. Her teaching practice focuses on standards-based student proficiency, being a good citizen, and improving students’ ability to collaborate and problem-solve in various situations.
Angela goes above and beyond with her students and her grade-level team. She chose to change grade levels to have the opportunity to challenge herself with a new curriculum and age level. With that change came her increased interest in collaborating across grade levels with a focus on student achievement and support.
She is committed to supporting co-workers in developing as teachers, mentors, and role models for students. Ms. Finnegan is a very positive teacher who always has a smile on her face and is respectful to everyone she interacts with. She is a lifelong learner who always has her students’ best interests at heart.
Angela Finnegan is an exceptionally talented educator. She is a dedicated advocate for the “whole student” approach to development and support.
